Sunlight over the bay fell across the waters of Long Island, New York, where light, shadow, and music flowed together. Political representatives and guests from both China and the United States—spanning finance, aviation, real estate, automotive, and hospitality—gathered at WEI HOUSE on the Long Island waterfront for the “Bay of Gratitude Night,” specially presented by Shede Spirits.

The event opened with a welcome speech from WEI HOUSE host Gao Weiwei. She expressed her gratitude to the friends who have supported her over the years and shared her hope to honor every guest with the Chinese tradition of heartfelt hospitality—offering Shede, the fine spirit from her hometown in Sichuan, to everyone she wished to thank.

Next, the Mayor of Island Park delivered remarks, welcoming entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and cultural guests from both China and the United States. He said, “Tonight, Chinese and American cultures meet here. Art, music, and fine spirits bring us closer, and allow the residents of Island Park to see another kind of beauty in the world.”

From Sichuan to New York, Shede Spirits traveled across mountains and seas, bringing not only a glass of Chinese baijiu, but also a touch of Eastern hospitality.

As the Chinese saying goes, “With giving comes receiving.”

Shede represents a philosophy of life as well as a wisdom in business—signifying investment, sharing, and gratitude. Tonight, this Eastern wisdom flowed into each glass and into every exchange between people.

At the event, Chinese and American martial arts performers blended strength with grace, inviting guests to experience Chinese kung fu firsthand. Artists created live portraits, and the characters for “Shede” took shape slowly under the brush of a calligrapher.

Amid fine spirits, cuisine, and art, guests tasted Shede, learned about Chinese baijiu culture, and discovered the hospitality embedded within it. Conversations across industries unfolded naturally, and new friendships and collaborations quietly began.

A single glass of Shede carried more than flavor—it became a bridge connecting culture, friendship, and business exchange. It allowed people from different backgrounds to understand China through a drink, and to see one another through a shared moment.

Mountains and seas accompany us; kindred spirits meet.
